The Tempo 298 is a full length, graphite racket based on the Rebound range and used by WTA #4 (Feb ‘22) player Iga Swiatek. She has tested, developed, and signed her name to this racket that was developed to provide demanding tennis players with the perfect combination of power and control.
The “Eli Square Section” frame geometry provides a great mix of power and control. It also features XTC fibre inserts by TEI; aluminium fibres added to certain point of the frame to disperse ball impact and create a better feel and more comfort for the player. Finally, the racket is equipped with “horseback grommet strips” to smooth and round the string between each string hole to limit string breakages from off-centre hits and an “Armor Cap” – a thicker, wider, and longer bumper for better protection and durability.
The racket has a 16x19 string pattern and a 98in2 headsize, with a shiny matt finish. It is sold unstrung.
An incredible performance from Iga Swiatek sees her win her second Roland Garros title! Iga has also equalled Venus William’s record of consecutive wins on the WTA tour with 35. Iga has cemented her place as world number 1 in the rankings and now has more points than number 2 and 3 combined.
