Tecnifibre String Information

We would like to provide some updated information on the Tecnifibre tennis string range that will allow you to select the best string for yourself and/or to advise your customers on. Below are various pieces of information on the production, types, benefits and more for Tecnifibre tennis strings.

Tecnifibre are the official strings of the ATP Tour. The range has been split up into three different segments: multifilament, hybrid and polyester. The graph below shows each category along with what level of player should be using each string and the amount of power and control they offer.

MULTIFILAMENT // Racket Weight: 240g+

Multifilament strings are best used in lightweight rackets where the racket does not have the mass to generate power or absorb shock from ball impact. Tecnifibre are world # 1 when it comes to multifilament strings. Tecnifibre PU multifilament strings are unique in today’s market, offering full PU saturation of the 1500 fibres inside and not just an outer coating. The results are higher elasticity and power, more shock absorption and comfort and an increased durability. Below are the key strings in the Tecnifibre multifilament range.

X-One Biphase – the closest synthetic string to natural gut. This award-winning string is packed with leading technology to bring the best power, feel and comfort.

TGV – highest concentration of PU for maximum shock absorption and comfort. The perfect string for tennis elbow.

Multifeel – a good all round string with a polyester core for added durability. Tecnifibre’s most affordable multifilament.

POLYESTER // Racket Weight: 300g+ ONLY

Heavier rackets are better at generating power and absorbing shock. Therefore, control from the strings becomes more important for players using these rackets. Tecnifibre polyester strings are the softest on the market through Thermocore technology, providing a more comfortable string and reducing the risk of shock related injuries. Below are the key strings in the Tecnifibre polyester range.

Black Code – the softest polyester on the market for comfort and reduced muscle fatigue, combined with a pentagonal cross-section for aggressive spin.

4S – medium firmness with a square cross-section for ultimate spin.

Ice Code – Tecnifibre’s most powerful polyester. Semi crystalline zones give the purest molecular structure for explosive power.

Razor Code – the firmest and most durable string for the big hitters. The stiffest string for the most control, as used by world #4 Daniil Medvedev.

HYBRID // Racket Weight: 280g+

Hybrid strings are a unique offering from Tecnifibre as they are the only brand with the technology to mix more than one material together in order to create a real hybrid string, rather than selling two separate strings in the same packet. Below are the 2 strings in the Tecnifibre hybrid range.

HDMX – three material construction for a firm feel like polyester, but with the power and comfort of a multifilament.

Duramix – 50% polyamide and 50% polyester construction for a blend of comfort and firmness.
